House robber ties couple up

House robbers struck in Carletonville again last week.

The Carletonville police say the last incident occurred at around 02:00 on 7 April. The owner of a house in Silver Street and his wife were asleep when they were awoken by some-one in the house.

The intruder pulled out a firearm and forced the couple into their bedroom, where he tied them up. He took various electrical equipment before fleeing from the scene.

The police suspect the robber to be the same man or part of the same group that previously robbed other

residents in the street last month.
