According to the newest statistics released by the Gauteng Department of Health earlier this afternoon, there are now 175 of our residents who have died of Covid-19. Two people have died from the disease during the past week.
There are currently a total of 4 648 residents of our area who have been infected with the disease. So far 4 412 of them have recovered.
There are also 12 205 positive cases in Mogale City (the Krugersdorp-area), of which 11 757 have recovered and 366 have died as well as 6 776 positive cases in Rand West City (the Randfontein and Westonaria area) of which 6 503 have recovered and 217 have died.
