The Carletonville police say the couple was in their house in Pongola Street when the incident happened at 20:00 on Sunday, 31 January. The man suddenly heard a noise in the front yard and went to look. Before he could investigate, four armed men stormed into the house. All wore masks and gloves and were armed with handguns. They grabbed the couple, tied them up and started searching for valuables in the house. They fled with various electrical equipment.
