Over the past day only 12 new cases were reported in our area, which brings the total number of cases to 4 390. Of these 4 152 have received while 11 residents have died of Covid-19.
The infection rate elsewhere in the West Rand has also been decreasing.
Only nine new cases were reported in Mogale City (the Krugersdorp area), which brings their total to 11 795. Of these patients 11 260 have recovered while 332 patients have died.
There were also only 12 new cases reported in Rand West City (the Randfontein and Westonaria area). The total number of cases in this municipal area is now 6492, of which 6 156 people have received and 192 patients have died.
