Father missing after drawing money

The family of a man from the area is desperate to find him after he went missing last week.

The wife of Mr Pitseng Makabongwe (28), a resident of Khutsong Extension 5, told police she had last seen her husband on the morning of Friday, 30 October. He said he was going to draw money at Carletonville Mall so they could go to KwaZulu-Natal the same day.
He told his wife to get herself and their children ready for the trip so long and left the house at approximately 06:10.
At about 06:42, a message came through on his phone, which was charging at home. An amount of R2,300 had been withdrawn from Mr Makabongwe’s bank account in Amethyst Street.
His wife waited for him to come home, but he never returned. She called his mother and family in Fochville at around 15:00, but Mr Makabongwe was nowhere to be found.
A friend also helped with the search.
His wife became even more worried when she received another SMS stating that R80 had been withdrawn from her husband’s account at Jabulani in Soweto at about 16:10. Makabongwe did not know anyone in that area.
At the time of his disappearance, Mr Makabongwe was wearing blue jeans, navy sports shoes and a blue golf shirt.
Anyone with any information about where he may be found should contact Constable Xolani Ndzandzeka of the Carletonville detective service at 078 286 1172.
