The accident occurred just after the intersection with the P111 road, on the lane coming toward Carletonville.
According to emergency services personnel the driver of one truck lost control and collided with another truck standing in the road.
The driver who lost control was taken to Carletonville Hospital.
It is not sure how long the lane will continue to be closed.
The police, municipal traffic officers, the Merafong City Fire Department and ER24 are still at the scene.
