One dies and three injured when taxi rolls near Deelkraal

One man was killed and three others left injured this afternoon when the taxi they were travelling in rolled off the Deelkraal Road in Carletonville.

According to a spokesman of ER24, Russel Meiring, paramedics from this ambulance service, along with the Provincial Services, arrived on the scene at 17h27 to find the taxi on its roof on the side of the road. A man, believed to be in his 30s, was found lying trapped beneath the vehicle while three other men were found nearby.

The three other patients were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries. The patients were treated and thereafter transported to Carletonville Provincial Hospital for further care.
