House robber grabs wife

A Carletonville man woke up to find an intruder holding his wife in front of him and threatening to kill them.

According to the communications officer of the police in Carletonville, WO Peter Masooa, the incident happened in a flat in Diamond Street at around 23:15 on 18 July.
Although the complainant had checked that the door was locked before going to bed, he woke up with the sound of someone in the apartment.
The two suspects tied the woman’s hands behind her back and bound her husband’s hands and feet. One watched over them while his accomplice searched the couple’s flat for valuables. He later returned and ransacked their bedroom as well.
Although they kept demanding money, the victim insisted that he did not have any. The thugs then left after an hour.
The woman explained that she had got out of bed because she heard something in the passage. It was there that she ran into the robbers. It later emerged that they had entered through the bedroom window
