Khutsong residents who want to stay fit during the warmer weather do not have to go far as there will be a fun tournament right at their doorstep this weekend. The Keep Merafong Alive five-a-side soccer games will be held at Batswaneng Park on Saturday 31 August.
According to the organiser, Andile Mbulawa, teams from Andy Entertainment, Kwa Maselwane, Chisanyama, Scrumptious East, Stlhareng Inn, Robby’s Place, Deep Tlakaza, Kwa Madlesa, Plugged Inn, Bzee Corner and Al Nassir have already confirmed that they will take part.
“We are striving to bring change in our community and unite various cultures under one umbrella through sports, cultural events and entertainment. The idea behind this is to promote our local establishments and brands, and bring change by not isolating one another, but in building our community,” says Mbulawa.
