•BOILERMAKER ARTISAN Job Grade: C1 Reference Nr: B/M `001 Tasks and Responsibilities:
•Ensure implementation and adherence to the Mine`s Health Safety and Environmental COP`s, policies, procedures and legal requirements within area of responsibility
•Supervise and over-inspect subordinates` daily activities, offer coaching and on the job training to
•Ensure maintenance according to organisational standards
•Ensure the execution of scheduled and non-scheduled mechanical repairs and installation work as required
•Communicate with relevant supervisors to inform on maintenance activity performance and availability of equipment
•Required to work according to the Mine`s Code of Practice, and report any deviations
•Required to work overtime, do standby and be available for callouts should the need arise Minimum Requirements:
•Grade 12 or N3 equivalent NQF qualification
•Qualified Boilermaker / 26D Plater with Trade Certificate at recognized/accredited institution *` Minimum of 5 years` experience in the mining industry` ensure this is indicated on your CV
•PC Literate in MS Office Suite
•Valid drivers` license and own transport essential Other Skills / Competencies:
•Knowledge of Mine Health & Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996)
•Sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English
•Sound planning, leading and organisational abilities
•Good fault finding and diagnostic skills
•Familiar with Mining Process and Maintenance requirements of related equipment and structures
