Free First Responder training offered by Gauteng EMS

This free training can help a lot.

The Gauteng Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are offering free First Responder training at their Khutsong base.

According to the district manager of the Gauteng Emergency Services in the West Rand, Jurgens Bence, the training will enable anyone to help an injured person or attend to an emergency situation.

According to Bence, the training will be especially useful to young people and women, but everyone who wants to know what to do in an emergency situation will benefit from this training.

Those who are interested in the training can contact the Khutsong Station Manager, Ntombizodwa Thai on 082 964 8842 or email her at ntombizodwa.thai@gauteng.gov.za.

Bence says more than a 100 community members have already been trained as community first responders as part of the Sinkhole Disaster Intervention initiated by the Premier’s Office.
