A man died in an accident just outside Carletonville earlier this afternoon.
As far as could be determined the man lost control while driving on the R501 road just outside Carletonville.
Other motorists noticed his vehicle, a red Nissan Qashqai, laying in a ditch on the side of the road just before you turn into Dolomite Drive from the R501 at approximately 14:00.
The driver had already passed away.
It is not sure whether he was a resident of our area of someone passing through.
