Robbers strike another filling station

There seem to be no end to these robberies.

Yet another filling station around Carletonville was targeted by armed robbers last week.

The incident took place on Friday 21 June.

Staff at the Global filling station at Watersedge had just come on duty when five unknown men stormed them at about 18:35.

The Sotho-speaking thugs had a firearm and a knife and immediately demanded money. They also demanded to know where the key to the safe was.

When the employees could not help them, they grabbed money and two cellphones and raced away in an unknown vehicle.
