The past long weekend was a busy one during which, amongst other cases, a man lost his life in Letsatsing Village near East Driefontein.
The 24-year-old victim apparently followed another resident walking from a tavern at approximately 22:00 on Saturday, 15 June.
The victim, who seemed to be mentally unwell, also apparently screamed at others.
He followed the other man all the way to his home in Tsakane Street. Once there, the other man pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed his follower.
Although bystanders phoned an ambulance, the victim had already passed away by the time of their arrival.
The alleged murderer (22) was arrested shortly after the crime.
