Outreach to day care centres

The children could show off their talent.

Members of the police in Carletonville and other officials reached out to residents of the Elijah Barayi mega housing complex near Welverdiend this week.

According to the police in Carletonville’s social crime prevention officer, Sgt Thabo Mathebula, the action took place at approximately 11:00 on Thursday 6 June.

Other officials who attended included Miss Onika Mogomotsi of Department of Community Safety, Mr Tshepo Moloisa of the Merafong City Local Municipality as well as Carletonville CPF patrollers and representatives of the Carletonville Victim empowerment centers and green door ambassadors.

The group also visited two day care centres, Sinovuyo and Phronesis in Carletonville.

“The purpose of the day was to showcase the talent of our next generation in the early stages through singing and dancing,” says Mathebula.

The about 100 children reached also received party packs, handed over by Mogomotsi.”The teachers of both day care centers thanked the team for taking time to come and enjoy the day with the children,” says Mathebula.
