A resident of Wedela has a harrowing experience last week.
The incident took place on Sunday 10 March at about 03:00.
The woman (27) was asleep in her room when she was woken up by a knock on her door. The man, whom she knew asked her to open the door because he wanted to pay her the money he owed her.
When she opened the door, the man however pulled out a knife and instructed her to undress. When the woman refused, he threatened her with a knife.
He then raped her.
The rapist even had the audacity to return later for the R80 he had dropped on the floor while committing the crime.
