Three Christmas babies for Merafong
Three babies were born in public health facilities in our area on Christmas Day.
According to the Gauteng Department of Health a little boy was born in Carletonville Hospital yesterday.
Another two Christmas babies, a boy and a girl, were born in the Khutsong Main Clinic.
A total of 387 Christmas babies, 186 boys and 201 girls, were born in government health facilities in the province.
Of these children, 83 gave their first breath in academic hospitals, 47 in tertiary hospitals and 166 in regional and district while 91 were born in community clinics.
Chris Hani Barawanath Hospital had the most Christmas babies after 46 little ones were born at this facility.
