Robbers attack mother and daughter

House robbers struck another home - on Usutu Street in Carletonville - on Tuesday, 24 October.

The 62-year-old mother was sitting in her living room when she heard someone breaking the front security door open at about 12:30. She screamed for help, and her daughter (39) came to assist. Two unknown men, one armed with a firearm and the other with a knife, stormed into the house, demanding the remote control to the gate in English. After taking the remote, the thugs opened the gate for their accomplice, who drove in with a silver vehicle. He joined the others in the house, and the robbers ransacked it. They took the family’s television, two cell phones, jewellery and men’s clothing, among other things.
The intruders tied the women up with cable ties, but they managed to get loose after the robbers had left and alerted the police.
