Two accidents on one morning

Emergency services had their hands full this morning when two accidents occurred in Carletonville before 08:00.

In one of the accidents the driver of a motorcycle sustained multiple injuries when he was hit by a minibus-taxi at the corner of Kaolin and Hex Street near Laerskool Jongspan. Paramedics from the Gauteng Emergency Medical Sevices (EMS) stabilized the patient and then transported him to hospital.

“Their response time was very fast. I get emotional over the good work that they do,” one of the members of the public at the scene remarked.

In another accident a minibus-taxi and another vehicle collided at the corner of Kaolin Street and Ada Street. The taxi ended on its side next to the Reformed Church.

“People must learn to stop at stop signs, then accidents such as this will not happen,” one of the people at this scene remarked.

Traffic officers of the Merafong City Local Municipality controlled the traffic at both accident scenes.

This taxi ended on its side after the accident at the corner of Kaolin Street and Ada Street.
