Murder suspects in court again this week

Carletonville resident Gertjie Bothma and his fellow accused in the murder of the manager of the Sleepover Guest House and Conference Facility in Oberholzer, Mr Domingos Antonio Novela, will appear in court again this week.

Police launched a massive manhunt for Bothma (42) after Novela’s murder on 11 January this year.
Bothma, his girlfriend, Bianca Erasmus, and the third accused, Donovan Visser, will appear in the Oberholzer Regional Court on Thursday, 4 May. Bothma and Visser are already in prison after pleading guilty to housebreaking charges on 23 March. This case stems from a break-in at the Dr Johann Schutte Radiology Practice in Oberholzer.
Both were sentenced to four years imprisonment and are already serving their sentences at the Krugersdorp Prison.
Meanwhile, Bothma received a three-month prison sentence on 31 January this year after also pleading guilty to a housebreaking charge related to a break-in at Sisonke Panelbeaters in Rautenbach Street in Carletonville. The co-accused in this case were Nadine Leach and Benzo Fibiger, who were also sentenced to three months each after pleading guilty.
Sgt Lukie Mathikge of the Carletonville detectives was the investigating officer in the housebreaking cases.
