Khutsong resident fends off armed intruder during early morning home invasion

Gun shots were fired at a 44-year-old resident of Khutsong Ext 6 in the early morning hours of last Saturday.

The man was asleep in his bed when he heard a loud noise. Upon closer investigation he saw a thug in his kitchen.

A squabble ensued and the intruder pulled out a firearm. Two shots were fired at the resident.

The frightened resident grabbed one of his children, ran to a window and called to a neighbour.

This caused the gunman to jump through a window and run away empty-handed.
