Round Table helps premature baby from Carletonville

They raised money for this cause from people in various areas.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and solidarity, the Round Table Carletonville50 club stepped in to make a significant impact in our community.

This time, the effort was focused on a cause that touched the hearts of many; helping a newborn from Carletonville, little Xaviër Labuschagne, who was in a critical condition at Mediclinic Potchefstroom.

According to the chairperson of the Round Table STNOFS area, Riaan Greyling, Xaviër was born prematurely at just 34 weeks on August 19 and came into this world fighting for his life. The STNOFS area comprises of clubs in Carletonville, Sasolburg, Stilfontein, Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp and Vereeniging.

The medical bills for Xaviër’s stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) quickly began to mount. With no medical aid to cover these expenses, little Xaviër’s family faced an overwhelming financial burden.

Recognising the urgent need, Round Table Carletonville50 rallied their members and the broader Round Table Southern Africa community to take action.
Through an incredible show of support, Round Table raised more than R30 000 that was used to pay off medical bills and sponsor essential baby products for Xaviër and his family. Round Table clubs from across the country, including as far as Kokstad and Bloemfontein just to name a few, contributed to this cause, showing the true power of unity and compassion.

“A special shout-out goes to the STNOFS area.

The men in the area are doing extraordinary work, leaving our towns and communities in a better place through their relentless efforts and dedication.

We are thrilled to report that Xaviër is now home, full of life and energy – a testament to the collective efforts of everyone involved. This success story is a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together,” says Greyling.
