Man hijacked at East Driefontein
They violently assaulted the owner, who had just arrived home.
Hijackers were active in our area this week.
A resident (52) of East Driefontein was hijacked in Weaver Crescent on August 13.
He had just arrived at his home at 21:40 when a grey Volkswagen suddenly pulled in next to him. Two men jumped out of the vehicle.
One was armed with a firearm.
“Give us your keys,” they demanded.
When the resident did not comply fast enough the thugs hit him over the head with the firearm several times. They then grabbed the keys and sped off in his car.
By printing time the stolen vehicle, a grey Mazda 3, had still not been recovered.
