A group of masked robbers kidnapped the mother of a family in Khutsong Ext 5 last Wednesday.
The family, who stays at a house in the 40s, were asleep when three masked men burst in at approximately 23:00.
The suspects, who spoke Sotho, pulled out firearms and immediately demanded money.
They grabbed cellphones and blankets and also took the keys to the family’s Hyundai SUV.
They forced the mother with them into the vehicle and drove off.
The daughter (23) reported the case to the police.
In the early morning hours on Sunday, the mother was released, unharmed.
