A resident of Khutsong Extension 5 had a close call last week Tuesday.
This incident took place in the 70s of Khutsong Extension 5 near Welverdiend.
His daughter woke him at approximately 01:40 to tell him there was someone at the gate. When he got up and walked to the gate, the ‘visitor’ however started to walk away.
The resident followed the man for a while, but then decided to turn back to his house.
As he was doing this, he heard a gunshot.
He realised the ‘visitor’ was shooting at him and he ran home and called the police.
A case of attempted murder has since been opened.
