A man was viciously assaulted in Blyvooruitzicht after two men lured him to the outside of his home.
The victim (29) who stays on 42th Avenue was already in bed when he heard a noise outside his room at approximately 23:30 on July 3.
He went to investigate and walked right into two masked men.
“Be quiet, we are not here for you,” one of the thugs snarled.
A fight ensued between the victim and the thugs. During the course of the struggle the victim was hit over his head with a firearm. One of the attackers also fired a shot, but it missed him and hit the wall.
The criminals then ran away.
Carletonville police are investigating an attempted murder case following the harrowing incident.
