A woman from the area had a harrowing experience last weekend.
The incident took place on Saturday, June 29.
The victim (23) and her boyfriend were walking on the Leeupoort road near East Driefontein from a tavern to one of the hostels at approximately 20:00.
Three unknown men stormed them and one pulled out a firearm, which caused the boyfriend to run away.
The criminals grabbed the woman and pulled her into the veld, where all three raped her.
