Business robbers strike filling station

It is the second time this year that robbers struck this business.

A filling station in Oberholzer was again struck by robbers this week.

The police in Carletonville are investigating a business robbery case after this incident on Wednesday 11 June.

Personnel were busy with routine tasks at the shop of the Caltex filling station in Ada Street at about 18:45. Five unknown men walked up to them and immediately pulled out firearms.

“Lie on the ground,” the Sotho-speaking thugs ordered them.

The criminals then proceeded to grab money, cigarettes, chocolates and sweets. One of them then fired a shot in the air.

The robbers then ran into the open veld across the filling station and had disappeared into the night by the time police arrived.
