CPF changed her life

Giving back to her community has changed her life.

A proud member of Khutsong CPF, 42-year-old Miss Cecilia Zweni is amazed at how her life has changed since joining the CPF in 2022.

She says criminal activities affected her, and the patrollers motivated her. Since she saw the difference the CPF was making, she wanted to join.

Cecilia also had a drinking problem; personal issues caused her to indulge daily. The support from the team encouraged her to live a better life. Where bad friends and company influenced her before, she now found someone to confide in.

“I enjoy my work, and I have noticed the improvement in my life,” she said.
The SAPS and her management team have been very supportive and made it easy to do her work.

“It feels like family. If I need help, someone will assist,” she added.

Cecilia found a friend in a colleague, the CPF public relations officer Miss Refilwe Ntshabele, who has become like a sister. She has given her attention and support throughout since she joined the team. She is very grateful because she feels healthy and appreciative of the individual contributions the team has made to support her. She could buy clothes for her kids and a cellular phone. Cecilia has seen the impact of her work; the crime on her street has decreased. She has been in the field, where she has made several arrests. She was also part of operations that yielded positive results.

“I have also started a business to stay away from alcohol,” she concluded.
