Body found behind mine hostel
A body being found behind a mine hostel in the Carletonville area has led to the arrest of a security guard.
A security guard has been arrested following the discovery of a man’s body behind one of the Sibanye-Stillwater’s hostels this week.
As far as could be determined, bystanders found the body behind 10 Shaft near the electrical substation at approximately 08:00 on 15 November.
The victim, possibly an illegal miner, had been shot in the head. Detectives started investigating the incident and tied a Fidelity ADT security guard to the murder.
He was to appear in court in connection with the incident this week.
