Last week, burglars broke into two churches in Reinecke Street and another in Bornite Street.
The criminals stole taps and pipes from all the churches but also fled with groceries in one of the crimes.
Police advise churches to appoint security guards if possible. If that is not a viable option, church members should drive by the church regularly to check for and scare off burglars.
Street lights around many churches are out of order, making the situation worse.
