According to the Carletonville police, the incident happened at Soppies just after 15:00 on Monday.
The personnel were busy with routine tasks when four suspects, two of whom were armed, walked in.
The thugs forced three personnel members to the back of the business and tried to force open the cash register. When they did not succeed, they decided to flee with the whole cash register.
They also grabbed bottles of whiskey before running out and jumping into a white Toyota Corolla.
