According to Russel Meiring of ER24, a man in his 40s was critically injured in a home invasion on Aster Avenue in Fochville this morning. He says ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at 05:45 to find the Provincial EMS, a doctor and security members already in attendance. A man was found lying inside his home. Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous stab wounds and was critical. The man was treated and provided with several advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was transported to a hospital for further stabilisation. Once stable, the man was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a private hospital in Johannesburg. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
