Drug dealers bust in Fochville

Drug dealers bust in Fochville.

A routine search saw members of the Fochville police arrest a drug dealer recently.
According to the communication officer, Sgt Elsie Tshonte, the police were patrolling on 12 June when they spotted a suspicious-looking man. They immediately stopped and searched him.
The police found drugs on his person and he told them where he had bought them.
They went to the house where the dealer reportedly lived and arrested the 26-year-old African man on the spot.
In another incident, the police found a 34-year-old man allegedly dealing in dagga. They arrested him for the offence, along with two other men who were with him. These two suspects, aged 32 and 38, were found to have other drugs in their possession.
“We plead to the com- munity to pass on information about people selling drugs around Fochville. It has come to the police’s attention that the people who are breaking in and stealing from houses are drug users. All communities must stand together to help people who smoke drugs.
The community should also stop buying electrical appliances being sold on the streets as it encourages criminals to continue breaking into houses,” says Tshonte.
