Armed robbers tie couple up

A resident of Carletonville was attacked in his house last week.

The police in Carletonville say the owner of a tavern in Blybank was in his home in Agnew Road when six men arrived there on Monday, 18 January. “Do you sell alcohol here?” they asked at first. When the man replied that he did not, one of the men suddenly pulled out a shotgun and three others took out 9 mm pistols. They pointed them at the man and forced him and his girlfriend into the house. The thugs then bound them with cable ties before searching through the house. They took five cell phones, money and various electrical equipment before walking out of the house. They loaded the goods in a blue Renault hatchback and a white minibus before driving off.
