According to these figures, two more residents of the Merafong Ciity local municipal area died of Covid-19 during the past day, which brings the total death toll to 101.
The Covid-19 death toll in Mogale City (the Krugersdorp area) now stands at 308 while 167 residents of Rand West City (the Randfontein and Westonaria area) have passed away due to the disease.
A total of 29 new coronavirus cases were reported in Merafong during the past day, which bring the total number of cases in our area to 4 115. A total of 3 720 of these patients have recovered.
The total cases in Mogale City are now 11 547 (of which 10 372 have recovered). There are now 6 271 cases in Rand West City (of which 5 5 32 have recovered).
