According to the Carletonville police, a woman woke up to the sound of someone in the house at about 03:30. Before she could do anything, two men, one of whom was armed with a sharp instrument, came up to her. They forced her to hand over her valuables, then grabbed her handbag and ran out of the house. The woman was luckily not injured. When the newspaper went to print, no one had yet been arrested in connection with the incident.
