Vehicle theft still a problem

Police are still warning vehicle owners to be careful not to fall prey to thieves, as more of these cases were reported during the past week.

According to the communi-cation officer of the police in Carletonville, WO Peter Masooa, one of the cases occurred on 5 November. The complainant arrived at the Savuka Mine training centre at around 07:00. He made sure that all the doors of his Toyota Vitz were locked and the windows closed.

When he came out at 10:54, however, he found that his car, with the registration number B 385 AYP, was gone.
In another case, a 2006 model silver Polo classic was stolen at the corner of Ada and Juliana streets on Monday.
