That was until this week. According to the police in Carletonville, a security guard had just collected money at Ultra Liquor close to the Carletonville taxi rank on Monday afternoon when the incident happened. As the guard was walking back to the money-transporting vehicle with which he came, three men stormed up to him. They pointed firearms at him and grabbed the bag of cash he had just taken from the business. The men immediately turned around and ran towards a white Toyota Hilux bakkie. They then raced away. Although two shots were fired, no one was injured. The police are following leads to arrest the perpetrators. They request anyone with information to contact them at 10111 or at the Carletonville polic station at 018 787 9317. The police are offering a reward for positive information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects involved in the commission of any crime.
