The police in Carletonville arrested a group of house robbers following an incident in Khutsong Extension 5 last weekend. According to the spokes-person, the victim was asleep in his home when the incident took place early Sunday morning. He suddenly awoke to knocking on his door at around 02:30. He got up to see who was there and opened the door to three intruders. One of them was wielding a knife. “We want money,” they barked and forced their way into the house. The robbers grabbed various items before running away.
The man phoned the police and, after the detectives followed up leads, they managed to arrest the suspects at another house in the same area. The goods stolen from the first victim were also found in their possession. The police have since linked the same suspects to a burglary in Ventersdorp.
