Eskom announced early this morning that phase 2 load shedding will commence from 12:00-22:00 today (1 September). According to Sikonathi Mantshantsha, Eskom spokesperson, phase 2 could continue for the rest of the week.
In Carletonville, the power will not be off today (1 September ). If load shedding continues for the rest of the week, Carletonville will be off on the following days: Wednesday (2 September): Safe Thursday (3 September) :04:00 to 08:30 and 20:00 to 00:30.
As Fochville’s electricity is, according to the original Eskom schedule, supposed to be off from 08:00 to 12:20, the electricity might go off for half an hour when today’s official loadshedding starts at 12:00. There will also be now loadshedding according to the new Eskom schedule in Fochville tomorrow or on Thursday.
