According to the Gauteng Department of Health, there are now 2 778 people who have tested positive for the disease in Merafong. This is 16 cases more than yesterday’s 2 764.
A total of 2 361 of these residents, two more than yesterday, have already recovered from the disease.
In the meantime there are 6 836 cases in Mogale City, which is 39 more than yesterday and 3 432 in Mogale City, which is 32 more than yesterday.
A total of 235 patients have so far died of Covid-19 in the West Rand.
