Tip-off from Carletonville community leads to arrest

A tip-off from observant members of the public led to the arrest of two criminals during the past week.

The police in Carletonville’s communication officer, WO Peter Masooa, says the people alerted the police to a suspicious vehicle driving around in town. The police officers went in search of the green Mini Cooper and managed to track it down.
They stopped the car, told the two men to get out and started searching them. The police found a variety of bank cards and stolen mine clock card in their possession.
Both men were arrested at the scene.
