According to a spokesperson for the municipality, rubbish will not be removed on Easter Monday, 22 April. Residents staying in areas such as Carletonville Extension 8 and 9 where rubbish is usually removed on a Monday, will have to keep their rubbish with them until it is removed the next Monday, 29 April. Other areas affected by this change of schedule are Greenspark, parts of Fochville, Khutsong South Extension 4 and Kokosi Extension 5.
In the meantime, the rubbish removal schedule for Friday, 19 April, has also changed. Rubbish in these will only be collected the next Friday, 26 April.
Places that are affected by this change are other parts of Fochville, Blybank and Ext 4, Skopas, Mshengu and Madala Side in Wedela.
To make the removal go faster, the municipality asks that residents must please take their wheelie bins outside at 07:30 on 26 April.
