A man, believed to be 30-years-old, was left critically injured after he was hit by a light motor vehicle at the Sim and Tulbagh Road intersection in Kempton Park, late last night.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 23h00 and found the patient lying on the pavement in a small puddle of water.
Upon assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a serious head injury leaving him in a critical condition.
Paramedics immediately began their treatment as well as providing the patient with several advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the patient was transported to a nearby Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
the driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate further.
