Local rapper shoots music video

A Khutsong rapper recently shot his first official music video in Johannesburg and Westonaria.

Thirty-four-year-old Thapelo Kekana (aka Tee Pee) has been building his name locally and has now broken the boundaries of local hip-hop. His professional video could potentially air on national TV.
Tee Pee has not allowed his past to get in the way of his success. His debut single titled “Pressure’’ is set to take the world by storm. It will soon debut on music channels like Channel O, Trace Urban, MTV Base and others. He expects to see his latest video on national screens very soon.
He worked with one of the best videographers, Yuppie Tee, and the shoot took three days to complete, to ensure they got everything right.
While he has been involved in music since 2012, he has decided to stick to his dream of becoming a well-known rapper. He delivers energetic performances in different places as part of growing his brand and inspiring the young kids in his community.
Thapelo has released two songs under his name, titled “Music is my life’’ and “Ngzolahlwa’’. His latest offering features the well-known producer, WizibeatZ, who has been instrumental in growing South African hip-hop. He has signed with the Kalawa Jazzme record label and is responsible for producing national hits like “I could’’ by Areece, featuring Emtee.
The humble rapper thanks every-one who has contributed to his musical career and journey. Among them are the beat-makers and producers, Charles Gee Sithole, Kiffbeats, Direction Lit and Wizibeats.
He also thanks the guys who have supported and believed in him, like Venom The Verbalist, Gargash KindaCool, and Vibration Taylor for encouraging him to use the name TeePeeDotCom. Thapelo thanks his family for the sacrifices they make and for understanding that his hustle means not being home much of the time. He is grateful for his long-time girlfriend, Thandeka Molo, and his children.
Not only is TeePeeDotCom a stage name, but it is a brand he is eager to grow. He hopes to make it bigger one day, designing and selling merchandise like T-Shirts and caps.
Thapelo aims to build a record label that will grow and help talented young people follow their dreams and passion.
“I am ready to blow so big and collect all the prizes at the South African Music Awards. One of my dreams is to be a big South African brand,’’ he said passionately.
Thapelo concluded by thanking all his supporters who have bought his brand and the people who were involved in the shoot, like the Video Vixens (Abigail, Witbooi and Jane) and the crew (Chidex, Baadman and Wakanda).
