Yet another member of a local taxi association was murdered in what seems to be a planned assassination this week.
The murder took place at the Carletonville Taxi Rank at about 18:15 on August 22.
The police were called to the taxi rank and found the deceased man, a member of the Carletonville Local and Long-Distance Taxi Association (CALLDTA), lying on the ground.
The victim (37) was shot five times in the chest and head.
The case is being investigated by the SAPS Taxi Violence unit.
