Driver hijacked on Welverdiend road
Be very careful, no matter what brand of vehicle you drive.
A resident of the area was hijacked while driving on the road past Khutsong Ext 5 to Welverdiend this week.
The 36-year-old man was going to refuel his vehicle at about 18:00 on August 15. On his way past Ext 5 a woman on the side of the road gestured for him to stop.
He was still busy speaking to her when three African men appeared out of nowhere and jumped into his vehicle.
They ordered him to continue driving, but soon thereafter the hijackers told him to stop.
One of them got in behind the steering wheel and drove to Blyvooruitzicht.
Once there, two of the hijackers dragged him from his car into a bush. They hit him over his head with a stone and left him there.
The hijackers then drive off with his white Ford Eco Sport with the registration number LH30KXGP.
By printing time this vehicle had still not been found.
