Oberholzer woman attacked in her own bed
They fled with a variety of electrical equipment.
A woman from a street in the northern parts of Oberholzer had a harrowing experience this week. The incident took place at a home in Andries Street last Wednesday.
The woman (22) was asleep inside her bedroom at about 02:00. She was suddenly woken up by two robbers busy pulling the blankets from her. They gained entry through a door that cannot lock.
The thugs, who spoke isiXhosa, were armed with knives.
They demanded money and valuables.
One of the men wanted to rape the woman, but she fought back hard. This caused him to drop his knife, which seemingly startled him and he let go of this plan.
The robber and his accomplice grabbed cellphones, clothing and track shoes before they fled the scene.
