House robbers kidnap man

Armed thugs again struck in our area.

House robbers in the area are getting more dangerous.

Yet another such incident happened on Thursday, 18 January.

A 43-year-old resident of Valhalla Street in Blyvooruitzicht was at home when the robbers struck at approximately 23:45. The five Sotho-speaking thugs stormed into his house.

“We know you have money in the house,” they said while pointing an AK47 assault rifle and 9 mm pistol at him.

The thugs then forced the man into his black Nissan Almera. They grabbed electrical equipment, cell phones and money and drove off with him in the car.

The kidnappers drove in the area and later dropped him off on the side of the N12. His car was later found abandoned at Blyvoor Spar.
